The Alliance for Children Foundation (the Foundation) is a Massachusetts-based international relief organization devoted to improving the physical and emotional well being of orphaned and at-risk children worldwide.

Established in 2000, the Foundation builds upon nearly 40 years of experience and key relationships established through its sister organization, the Alliance for Children, a nationally accredited adoption agency. We have since invested in child welfare in seven countries around the globe and have formed dynamic partnerships.

We measure success one child at a time by witnessing improvements in health, nutrition, development and ability to learn. In total, our programs have reached 20,000 children during the last 13 years. Our work has been efficient and direct, performed on a smaller scale without the layers of bureaucracy of larger organizations and is directly accountable to our donors.

Message from our Director

I founded the Alliance for Children Foundation driven by an underlying belief that all children's lives matter and the knowledge that each one of them could benefit from individualized care in a safe living environment.

I founded the Alliance For Children in 1974 - the first international adoption agency in Massachusetts. The agency has since connected over 6,000 children in need with loving families through adoption. Over time, the faces of the children left behind in orphanages increasingly haunted me. Realizing that adoption was the exception and not the rule for most abandoned or homeless children, I set off to focus on improving the physical and emotional health, living conditions, and opportunities for vulnerable children within their own communities.

I am grateful for all those who have supported this Foundation since its beginning 17 years ago. Our goals for the future are exciting, and we hope you can be a part of our movement to help children in need around the world.
