Hefei Children's Welfare Institute , | Hefei Welfare Institute has more than 230 mentally healthy 3-14 year old orphans with slim chances of being adopted. This project provides apartments for Chinese foster families to live with groups of 6 orphans as stable families. On November 8, 2001, 'Sunshine Village' was opened -- ten new foster families with 6 orphans of different ages and 2 foster parents each moved into their new homes. Children’s Rehabilitation and Adoption Center, | CRAN is working to expand and improve the birthmothers home and provide more birthmothers with personal counseling, classes, and workshops by social workers to help them cope with the most important emotional decision of their lives. |

Hefei Children's Welfare Institute , | 9-Mile Village is a project that places Hefei orphans into foster care families in several different nearby villages. The AFC Foundation is providing each child with 40RMB per month to use on food and clothing and also for special outings such as a trip to the zoo for special needs children. |

On Aug. 22, 2006 Ma'anshan Sunbeam Village was opened - 6 new foster families with 6 orphans of different ages and 2 foster parents each moved into their new homes. The children are between 3 and 22 years old and many have special needs. |

Wuzhou Social Welfare Institute, | This project provides apartments for Chinese foster parents to live with groups of 5 orphans as stable families. It is modeled after the very successful Sunbeam Village project in Hefei that has been supported by the AFC Foundation for 5+ years. On Dec. 1, 2007, Wuzhou P & G Sunbeam Village was opened - 5 new foster families with 5 orphans of different ages and 2 foster parents each moved into their new homes. The children are between 8 months and 17 years old and most have special needs. |

Yulin Social Welfare Institute, | Thanks to a generous donation by Massachusetts philanthropist Ray Ciccolo, the Alliance for Children Foundation was able to complete its efforts to open a 4th Sunbeam Village foster care center in Yulin City, China. Ciccolo Sunbeam Village officially opened on April 13th, 2008, with 24 special needs children moving in with their new foster families on the orphanage campus. An Hoá Social Caring Center, | This humanitarian aid project provides a classroom and daycare for disabled children in the city of Hue, Vietnam. Included refurbishing a classroom, buying supplies, hiring teachers, and paying for daily nutritious food for each child. We hope to open a 2nd classroom for older children this year and to expand our humanitarian aid work in a second province in Vietnam. |

Bobai Social Welfare Institute, | Bobai is a very poor county in China, which has just built its first orphanage. We will provide funding for basic equipment and furniture to help facilitate the opening of the orphanage. We will also independently operate an administrative center in town to facilitate foster care for the children in the orphanage before they are adopted.
