	Building Repairs and Foster Care	In 2010 AFC staff member Megan traveled to Russia to visit the orphanages and foster families that the Foundation has supported with the help of your generous donations. Click on the “Report” link above to read her story. Donations were used to support a foster family caring for special needs children, to make much-needed repairs to disheveled buildings and rooms, and to purchase toys, games and exercise and rehabilitation equipment for the orphans.

	Leping Children's Welfare Institute, Industrial washing machine	An industrial washing machine was purchased for Leping Welfare Institute so that the childrens' clothes would not have to be hand washed.

	Anqing Children's Welfare Institute, Improving orphanage living conditions	Through a generous donation by the Jenkins-Feinberg family, the AFC Foundation was able to purchase air conditioners, water heaters, TV sets, and children's wardrobes and cribs for the Anqing Orphanage. 48 children are benefiting from the improved living conditions made possible by the donated equipment and purchases.

	Yingtan Children's Welfare Institute, Air conditioners	Air conditioners were purchased for Yingtan Welfare Institute, which gets extremely hot and uncomfortable in the summer.

	Multiple Orphanages, Bedding for flood-damaged orphanages	Donations for replacement beds and bedding were given through the China Center of Adoption Affairs to distribute to numerous orphanages in areas damaged by the Yangtze floods.

	Laibin Xingbin District Social Welfare Institute, Improving orphanage living conditions	In a series of 3 projects, donations were used to vastly improve the living conditions at the orphanage. The Foundation purchased air conditioners, sterilizing equipment, clothing, bottles, diapers, and developmental walkers and toys for the children. 2 new bedrooms were built and 20 beds were donated so that each child could have his or her own bed. In addition, the Foundation donated warm winter clothing, a washing machine, air conditioners, ventilation fans, and mosquito netting.

	Basic Necessities	Necessities were purchased for Russian orphans: formula, vitamins, nutritional supplements, surgical gloves, baby oil, lotion, diaper rash cream, developmental toys, blood pressure cuffs, electronic scales, bottle sets, beds & bedding, clothing & comforters. The Russian orphanages (baby homes) included in this project are Krasnopolyanskiy, Nepetsinskiy, and Orekhovo-Zuyevskiy Dom Rebionka.

	Aznakaevo Orphanage, Clothing and Shoes	Shoes, sports clothing, and a soccer ball were donated to orphans and adoptive families in the town of Aznakaevo, Russia.

	Refrigerator	A refrigerator was donated to an adoptive family in Leninogorsk, Russia.

	Home Appliances	A VCR and gas cooker were donated to this large adoptive family in Russia.

	Home Appliances	A phone and refrigerator were donated to this adoptive family in the town of Aznakaevo, Russia.

	Basic Necessities	In 2000, the AFC Foundation purchased an incubator, industrial-size washing machine, refrigerator, pediatric scale, medicines, and clothing for orphaned children in Ecuador.

	Children’s Rehabilitation and Adoption Center, Orphan Shelter	The AFC Foundation helped fund the construction of a facility in Bogota to house, feed, & shelter orphaned children. The organization also provided capital funds for construction as well as maintenance, leading to its becoming self-sufficient.

	Wuhu Children's Welfare Institute, Heaters and Walkers	The AFC Foundation donated heater fans and walkers to the Wuhu Welfare Institute.

	Hengshan Social Welfare Institute, Hot Water Furnace and AC	The AFC Foundation donated a hot water furnace and air conditioner to the orphanage.

	Wuhu Children's Welfare Institute, New Equipment for the Orphanage	An air conditioner, scale, FAX machine, solar water heater, and washing machine were donated to this orphanage to improve living conditions for the staff and children.

	Ma'anshan Children's Welfare Institute, Drying Room	A room was built at the orphanage where staff could hang the childrens' laundry to dry under the sun.

	Hefei Children's Welfare Institute , Bathroom Renovation	Renovations were carried out for new bathroom and toilet facilities at the He Fei Children's Welfare Institute.

	Zhuzhou Children's Welfare Institute , Water Heaters and AC	Hot water heaters and air conditioners were purchased to improve the living conditions at the Zhuzhou Children's Welfare Institute.

	Yizhou Social Welfare Institute, Dryer and cribs and milk powder	In April 2005, 9 AFC families adopted babies from Yizhou Social Welfare Institute, in Guangxi province. Before they went to get their daughters they donated money for a new dryer, cribs and milk powder for the orphanage.

	Children’s Rehabilitation and Adoption Center, Repair & Expansion of the Children’s Protection Home	CRAN is dedicated to ensuring the rights of children to have their own living space and their own clothes. This project will improve classrooms, library, bathrooms, play area and administrative buildings. CRAN currently assists 38 children per year who live at the orphanage. The physical infrastructure is in serious need of repair and improvement. CRAN’s proposed new facility will allow it to assist up to 80 children per year.
