Filis Casey, Director
As a young lawyer, Filis started the first international adoption agency in Massachusetts; her idea was to offer a personal service where staff members got to know each and every family. In her 35 years as the Director of Alliance For Children, almost 7,000 children found their ways into permanent families. During this time, Filis saw what happened to the children all over the world who were unable to be adopted; most often living bleak and difficult lives. She founded the Alliance For Children Foundation in 2000 as a way of helping those children. Filis and her husband Bob have three children, two by birth and one daughter adopted from Colombia when she was three years old.
